The Calibrated CEO
How Exceptional CEOs Think, Decide, Lead, Adapt, and Build Organizations.
The thesis
There is a recognizable CEO temperament. There is no universally successful CEO personality.
CEO Effectiveness = Traits × Behaviors × Organizational Context × Current Moment
or, expanded:
Personality × Capability × Company Size × Industry × Lifecycle × Strategy × Governance × Mandate
Because the terms multiply rather than add, a zero anywhere (a capability the situation demands but the CEO lacks; a mandate the CEO cannot accept) collapses the product regardless of how strong the other terms are. The same CEO behavior can be highly effective in one organization and destructive in another. CEO/company fit is therefore the central idea of the program.
A mature CEO can say, and mean, both "We're going to do this" (conviction, agency, confidence, leadership) and "I was wrong. Change the plan." (intellectual humility, psychological security, evidence orientation, adaptability). Introduced on page one, used as a closing check in every simulation debrief: Which sentence did your choice make easier to say later?

Every consequential claim carries one of five epistemic labels, rendered as tags. The rule for authors: no statistic without a citation; no citation without an entry in the Research Library; no “studies show” without naming the study.
Archetypes are educational lenses, not categories. The assessment reports tendencies you currently display, never a type. The simulator has no correct answers. All companies in examples and simulations are fictional composites.
